Cafe Thyme (Machrie) - brilliant pides (Turkish pizzas) and lovely spot with large playground for kids.

The Parlour (Brodick) - perfect for ice cream and treats

Holy Isle -  boat across from Lamlash - beautiful, calm, spiritual spot for a walk or just to relax.

Kayak Arran - will take you kayaking directly from the house / short walk along the beach, depending on weather.

Arran Adventures - a wide range of activities available, based at Auchrannie.

Auchrannie resort - you can use the pool, leisure centre, soft play and spa. The leisure centre is ideal for a rainy day!

Brodick Castle - the castle itself is really interesting, but it also has a great cafe, and a brilliant adventure playground.

Eas Mor - fabulous walk in Kildonan, taking in a waterfall, loch, library - and stunning views.
